E3 2012 Metroidby *DrewGreen

Hey folks!

Every year I get really excited for E3 (the giant gaming trade show in Los Angeles). Sometimes my interest in gaming wanes and I need something to remind me why I love it, and E3 (particularly Nintendo's presence at the show) almost always reinvigorates that love.

Last night, I decided to celebrate E3 by doing this simple portrait of Samus, one of my favorite Nintendo characters. Did you know the Metroid Prime series turns 10 this year? Isn't that nuts?!

Beyond the obvious New Super Mario Bros. Mii (or whatever they ultimately call it), and almost certainly Pikmin 3, it's though to say what we'll see today at Nintendo's E3 press conference. I'm looking forward to learning more about both of those games, but I'm even more anxious to hear about things we don't know about. I'd really like to see some Metroid presence, too (3DS or WiiU). What about you?

Nintendo's E3 press conference is in just a couple hours now (9AM Pacific, 12PM Eastern time) and you can see it live on their official website, though lots of gaming sites will be broadcasting it, too. [link]
