Hey,
First off, I meant to post this last night, but the internet completely copped out on me and the computer was being so obnoxiously slow, I just couldn't do it. My sanity was at stake for a hopeless cause.
But here I am, the day after, healthy and without a straighjacket.
So, this is an interesting piece. Here's why. What is now (one of my personal favorite ideas) called Snailsvenue used to be entitled "Freakshow." The character designs have been changed around and such, and things are different from the way they were back then. But some of the characters, I never got around to redesigning (even in sketching stages) and so I went back to the Snailsvenue roots to look at what I enjoyed so much back then.
So what I did was I took an older piece of mine (which can be found here:
[link] ) and pretty much revamped it to match my current talents.
I am really proud of this one. I think I'm starting to come into my own with digital painting. It also helped me realize how much I like some of my older designs a little better than some of my new ones.
Side note: I was going to do a background for this, but I lack the proper resource called time. If and when I do a background for it, I'll let you all know.
Lineart: Adobe Illustrator CS Color: Adobe Photoshop CS Time: Nearly 20 hours, I think.
Enjoy, and please FULL VIEW!
Another side note: I'm already thinking about doing the bottom half of that old piece, just to feel a little more complete, but I dont suppose that'll be for a while now. You'll know when it happens, though.
I was hoping you wouldn't be offended that I compared your style to someone elses. Some artists are sensitive like that.
