Hyrule's Hero

Hey folks!

Sketched this, oh...maybe a week ago? I was working on a Zelda-related commission (which I think you guys will like, and I will post once the commissioner gives me the signal) and I had an undeniable urge to draw Link.

If I ever got my hands on the Zelda property (or at least did a fan comic or something - time willing), I would choose to portray an adolescent Link - older than Wind Waker Link but younger than Ocarina/Twilight Princess Link, probably around the age of 15. This is my vision for the kind of Link I would want to draw continuously.

And yes, he would definitely have a fairy. Ocarina of Time is ingrained into my soul, and Link has to have a fairy to be truly complete.

I chose to give him the Kokiri Shield/wooden sword, because there's a certain charm to when you start out with nothing but these cheap little items in your inventory. It's amazing how much character that lends to our mute hero, clearly brave (maybe even stupid) running around with a couple of carved twigs, ready to save the world. ;D
