Orange and blue is good in certain situations, but not always. Usually it reminds me of Florida football, but in this case it works.
I'm totally trying to get out of the habit of drawing anime.
I want my art to have more character... like yours has.
It's hard kicking this habit of 'same face same expression' thing...
gawh!!!
If you made a cartoon that would be awesome! srs.
Think about it!
Until then, I will pretend that your pictures can move
You know...anime isn't necessarily a bad thing and those who are great at it really blow my mind. But I can understand why you might want to try something new (and I encourage it, just as much as I encourage you sticking to anime if that's what you really do enjoy drawing).
Here, I'll give you a nice starting tip on drawing with shapes. ;D
Rounder characters tend to be more likable and are perceived as cute and friendly. If you want a character to look dangerous or fast, try to use lots of sharp angles like a triangle. And if you want a character to appear stronger and more sturdy, use a lot of square-like shapes as the basis for your character.
It's basic knowledge but it would have helped me had I known it when I started cartooning. Hope it helps you and lemme know if you have any questions about anything!
There is no doubt that the ratio of anime to cartoon dramatically tips the scale.
Cartoon has inspired me since I was five, and I did not get into anime until I was 12, It was my real inspiration for drawing, you know.
The thing that amazes me the most about it is that it has a more variety between artists, its more distinguished.
Your tip is actually really helpful, however fundamental!
